Dametric has successfully developed our Thickness Monitoring System (TMS) to efficiently serve a number of different purposes and environments. The Thickness Monitoring System (TMS) has been designed to continuously measure the thickness of non-magnetic reference materials such as paint, plastic, paper, copper, aluminum, wire and felt.

This effective method enables the non-contact monitoring of thickness as the gauge effectively floats on an air cushion. Furthermore, measuring equipment can be placed at different angles, for instance on a fixed or traverse conveyor belt that will be able to tolerate accurate point and profile measurement. The system has been developed using just magnetic properties in the material; this means that neither radioactive components nor laser beams have been applied. Finally, it should be noted that the system reports on-line, meaning adjustments to production can be made instantly.
